STILL LIFE PAINTINGS
FAVORITE THINGS

This painting was created as part of a Southern Colours project requiring us to include five of eight pre-determined elements. This painting contains fabric, metal, clock, pepper, and seedpod. I titled it "Favorite Things" because it contains our 100+ years old Ansonia clock, one of my favorite lamps from the 1920s, an embroidered scarf from my mother-in-law, and letters I've saved over the years.
VINE RIPENED

GOLD AWARD, SPS INTERNATIONAL EXHIBIT
While picking our backyard tomatoes one day, I looked up and saw this beautiful painting waiting to happen so I ran indoors and grabbed my camera. After all, I had to pick the tomatoes and could never have done the painting from the looking-up position I was in. The resulting painting brought me my most significant award to date and sold the first day it was exhibited.
